Congratulations to Ed Smiley on a terrifically successful show! Eyeball Music was well attended and paintings were sold. Of course these are not the only measures of success, but it's what I always hope for. So what else makes for a successful exhibition? Before the show I asked Ed how he defines a show's success. He believes a show is successful if someone is moved or changed by experiencing his art. That evening I couldn't help but notice the enthusiasm that Ed exudes both in person and through his artwork resonating with those in attendance. Lots of people settled in and stayed for a good while. Folks were smiling, chatting, connecting, swapping contact information, and celebrating creativity and artistic expression. Some people were even moved to purchase artworks. A success, any way you slice it!
